Nausicaan Set on a DHC escort

So Im running mainly cannons full disruptor (spiral wave DHC)
I was wondering how smart would it be to use 3 set bonus of Nausicaan set for disruptor damage boost(ughh wish the beam had a cannon variant!)
I dont want to use a beam when using a cannon build any advices? Perhaps other alternative sets to boost disruptor damage

The missing DHC from that set is something many have regretted since it came out.

If you have a miracle worker ship (which the cardassian intel escort you're running isn't) than you can get away with mixing beams and cannons, but otherwise it tends to be an inefficient use of you weapon slots/boff powers.

As to the Nausican set, if you're experiencing difficulties with power management on a full DHC build (keeping power high enough to receive amp boost) then use of the nausican torpedo can be considered together with the console.

That being said, there are various camps within the community as to how useful that old power management trick is in today's game.

Other sets which might be useful for disruptor damage boosting:
    -Terran Taskforce DHC https://sto.gamepedia.com/Terran_Task_Force_Munitions#Disruptor_Variant
    - Counter Command Ordnance 3-piece https://sto.gamepedia.com/Counter-Command_Ordnance#Disruptor_Variant
    - Bajoran Defense set https://sto.gamepedia.com/Bajor_Defense_Set

    Everything else is Lobi.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I forget, is the naussican beam 360? if it is all the better but if not stick it in the back, and as you are broadside turning in for a rung, a overload shot can help take down the shields, making the cannon pass more effective

The beam is standard 180 degrees

Also you should not use cannons and beams together unless u use a miracle worker ship and even then its not ideal...

The beam array is 250 degrees just like all other single beam arrays.

You know, there is plenty to complain about this set not working well with cannons/turrets, but DBB builds are a thing too and work really well with the improved beam overload. Standard beams don't really work for them either though, and set DBBs are almost nonexistent.

Odd why did I think they were 180 maybe I thought cannons are 45 DBB are 90 so beam arrays shud be 180 lol never mind then XD

No worries man, I confuse them sometimes too.

    Just for reference..

    A Beam Array is 250'

    Dual Beam Banks are 90'

    Single Cannons are 180'

Dual Cannons and Dual Heavy Cannons are 45'

Omni Beams and Turrets are 360'.

There are things that change this as well. For example the trait Withering Barrage, although not stated in it's description, increases the Arc of Dual Cannons/Dual Heavy Cannons from 45' to 90' while active. There are also things like Wide Angle Cannons and Dual Beams.. but normally, those are the firing arcs for weapons.

Thanks bro I knew Withering Barrage was tempering with DHC arcs. Anyway I really hope they add a turret or a cannon to the Set its really needed
