Miranda class training ship

We all know the miranda class star ship is at best a light warship if even that and I do not understand why they insist on starting everyone off with that type of ship? I have gone against the borg and Klingons and such and no way could that lovely little destroy any of those types. If we must use them, could you update and mod the ship so it is more powerful?

    The Miranda class starship is a starter ship that can equip dual heavy canons, so that you can try all the playing styles with just one starter ship!

    Oh, and if you dismiss this ship, there is no way to get it back!
