Hey folks, Special Reconnaissance Squadron, more usually known as SRS, is back on the forums recruiting again. With 9 fleets to choose from, our critically acclaimed MRP system, fantastic website and social media presence SRS is your first choice when looking for a professional, mature, veteran fleet no matter where you live. Take a look at what we can offer:
9 Fleets, many themed, many maxed out on all holdings including our KDF fleet. A home for your Jem 'Hadar, your Temporal toons, your KDF characters, an Academy, and three specialist fleets which you can join once you meet the requirements.
3 x elite fleets, each with progressively more difficult requirements to get into and each rewarding progressively more EC per day, up to 400K EC per officer per day as well as top of the range traits, consoles, weapons and more.
Our MRP system (Mission Replay Points) is now in its third year and has evolved into a all-encompassing events system with thousands of events per year, usually 5 to 10 per day, all players in any fleet in our armada are welcome to take part and earn big rewards. Every 20 million MRP someone will win a T6 lockbox ship, we just awarded a Walker Class and currently officers are working their way towards an NX! With end of year prizes in the billions of EC (1st prize this year is 1 billion EC, second 500 million with prizes down to 30th place).
The only fleet in the world to have a published Alexa App in the USA, the UK and Australia, go check it out if you have Alexa, it's a lot of fun.

We are currently working on a new project, the SRS Exploration System, a hugely ambitious exploration system that will reward players for exploring all the maps in STO to a far higher degree than has ever been done before. This should be ready in the next two weeks or so.
Find out more, everyone is welcome, from first timers to 10 year vets, you'll receive help on builds, keybinds, macros, demo record, sadly no foundry but if they ever bring it back we'll resurrect our 50 missions for sure.
Our officers are situated in the UK, the USA, Australia, Belgium, Canada and we have players from at least 30 countries, multiple languages are spoken but mostly it's English in game an on our Discord server. We are a mature zero drama fleet offering a unique experience within Star Trek Online.

Surhuelh Reconnaissance Explorer Warbird teaser - Potential: The most powerful ship in STO
The reason it's an Annorax beater is the fact that all other things being equal this ship can slot more EPG than ships with normal warp cores because Singularity cores have an EPG modifier. In addition, it's LtCmd Tac means you can slot Torp Spread 3 which gives huge damage on the gravimetric rifts. There are enough sci slots to add at least 5 debuffs for your secondary deflector and on top of all that it can use BO2 with Wep batts and of course the singularity powers. In addition, being a Romulan on this ship means 5 x SROs which means that unusually for a Sci EPG ship you get to keep a reasonably high CrtH and CrtD.

As you may know our MRP system provides some amazing prizes, with an end of year prize for the top 30 players and interim prizes throughout the year.

For the next interim prize, we have our best offering yet. The winner will literally be able to choose any ship, C Store, Lockbox, Lobi or R&D ship, up to 1.5 billion EC in value (assuming their choice is available somewhere). In addition, there is a 2nd place prize of a Maquis Raider donated by @Kenobi, so many thanks for that. There may well be further prizes added to this list.
Awesome, how do I take part?
It's easy, this is just about participation, take part in any MRP event, the first person who reaches 400 events will trigger this lottery and providing you have carried out 100 events minimum you will qualify to enter. You receive a lottery ticket for each event you take part in, so if you've done 127 events when the lottery is triggered you will have 127 tickets and therefore 127 chances of winning.
What is MRP and how does it work?

Most events take place from around 7pm UTC until 2am UTC however we are enrolling CFOPS (Chief of Fleet Operations Officers, responsible for organising events) all the time which extends the time periods that MRP can be earned. To see what a CFOPS does see the training video here:
Covid-19 and SRS
We are aware that Cryptic Studios personnel are mostly working from home for the time being. This will impact new content release and so our MRP system will be even more important at this time to keep players interested in the game. As far as SRS is concerned I don't see this pandemic making much difference to the running of the fleet unless I get it and get it bad. I am in a low-risk group so I don't expect to get it and if I do I expect it to be brief and not affect my gaming, however there is also the possibility I could be impacted more in which case I would probably not be able to maintain the website for a while. We do have enough CFOPS to maintain the MRP system should I be unable to continue.
Please follow your government guidelines to stay healthy, these are generally but not limited to:
Regularly wash your hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and hot water
Avoid touching your face
Avoid mass gatherings
Keep at least a metre between you and the next person if you are out
Wear gloves when shopping
Do not bulk buy food and toilet paper, there's plenty for everyone, just buy as normal
If you get it please self isolate to avoid spreading it. This buys time for scientists to develop the vaccine and the antibody test kits.
