Can anyone explain the Lt. Whetu voiceover? Her accent is ... an abomination.
For those going who on Earth is that, I'm referring to the tatted up announcer on the Kobayashy Maru mission.
While she looks Polynesian, as best I can tell she has a bastardised American accent, possibly with Afrikaans and Australian elements thrown in. If she's supposed to be Hawaiian, well I've yet to hear a Hawaiian sound like that. And if she's a different kind of Polynesian - Tongan, Samoan, Maori etc, then the accent is so bad it's flat out offensive.
Anyone able to explain what it's supposed to be?

Someone's accent has nothing to do with how they look, because people are allowed to grow up in locations other than where your stereotyping places them.
Those with African ancestry for example, can have any one of the many American accents, any British Isles accent, any European accent, and so on.
And in the future, an accent from any region of any planet where humans live. Lots of planets have a North.
