I am a lifetime sub, and I was under the impression that interiors of every and each class factional ship would eventually have more functionality inside these ships.
Working engineering area warp-core area and so on.
Mainly due to seeing Cardashian ships and some other factioned types.
Is there any planning going on with this ?

And do Duty officer missions from each section inside the your own ship, that would have made it more mini game like as well.
Not constantly spend time hyper jumping to a station to do such things or do it from the bridge only.
Cardashian carriers and other ships have a pretty neat lay out if fully shown when your on your bridge, so do other factions have such interiors a like.
I was expecting this a long time ago becoming a second normal thing besides the ships exterior being such a well sought after acquirement by us.
I have been playing since day one of the game and seeing Foundry go ( in-game made content unique totally unique if you mind me repeating that ) ?!
I had another idea, but i don't personally agree with it, it is that you could simply choose ( within faction ) the bridge type you want on your faction ship. Either bought or already available.
But i don't think any would agree with that idea.
But they already sold (for cheap prices compared to today's ship prices) interiors to people -and if they wanted to revamp the whole system, there is no guarantee that the stuff people already paid for could be maintained. In fact, the way tacofangs described it once, it really sounds like it is something that needs to be completely ripped apart.
AFAIK, what they build also was never particularly lucrative.
So there are several problems:
- So far there is no evidence that it would be a good source of income.
- The System needs actually to be redesigned from the ground up.
- Such a redesign would probably invalidate stuff they already sold, or require considerable additional manpower.
It is really a questionable investment for them. The staff that could work on that could instead spend its time on building ships and missions, which as proven profits or proven effects on retention and player engagement.
