Reputation Vanity Shield visuals same as Pre-existing Rep Shields?

Are the visuals of the reputation vanity shields the exact same as the pre-existing utilitarian shields that were there before Tier VI was added?
Are there any subtle (or overt) visual differences that make it worth getting both types for a given reputation track?

As far as I know, they should to be different but similar enough to tell they came from the same Reputation.

They are noticeably different.

It depends on the reputation, some are extremely similar while others are noticeably different while following the same theme as the rep gear.

the first one I got was the Reman one which looked so much like the advanced Reman shield I couldn't tell a difference
