Awakening: Patrols reward no dilithium

The new Awakening content Mission, TFO and Patrols all offer progress towards the Event ship. However I noticed the new Awakening Patrols do not provide dilithium as one of the reward types. Is this by design?
Both the Mycelial Crisis TFO and Mission: Beneath the Skin provide dilithium as a reward in addition to the Event ship progress, while the Patrols seem a bit of an oddball providing progress for the ship but ... offering no dilithium reward.
The other patrols listed in the new patrol menu all provide dilithium as one of the rewards, so this makes the Awakening Patrols doubly strange.
