Clarification of Weekend Event Store announcement

In the announcement it says: "Then, on August 1st 2019 for PC, and September 10th 2019 for Xbox One and Playstation 4, all rewards and items will be removed from the Weekend Event Store, making way for a single purchasable item: A Phoenix Prize Pack that costs a single Weekend Event Token. This will be the version of the Weekend Event Store that remains, moving forward."

1. Does this mean that, if we had previously unlocked a reward, but have NOT claimed it on a particular alt, we will need to do so before Aug 1? So, in fact, our inventory slots will NOT be "freeing up inventory space and moving towards how events will be working in the future" since we'll now have to claim multiple items?

2. Does this mean that if we had previously unlocked a reward it will NOT be available to claim on future alts we create, so must use a phoenix box reward in the future if we want the item?
