T5U ships, present and future?

With the coming of scaleable ships (great idea) what will happen with the T5U ships we already have, and their future in general? There hasn't really been a need for them in a number of years - most people level too fast to justify the cost. Now T5U definitely serve no purpose. Ideally I'd like to see them automagically converted to T6 scaleable - I love my APU (U.S.S. Gamera) and would like a reason to fly it more.

Please read one of the many other existing thread on this.

TL;DR nothing is likely to change for T1-T5U except probably a price drop. T6 ships scaling down does not make T5U less playable.

T5 and T5-U are still viable ships to use in the game.

Heck, some of the really excellent players can take a T1 ship to endgame and kick donkey.

I'm not one of them, but I've taken lower tier ships out just for funsies in the DSEs.

There are already many threads discussing the conversion of all T6 ships to scaling ships, and the fate of lower tiered ships. Let's please not spam the forum with multiple conversations on the same thing. /Thread
