Overloaded HUD?!

in Controls and User Interface
In starship combat my HUD is overloaded with information. Particularly my teammates status bar that shows the buff and debuffs. They reach half way into the screen Cluttering my field of view. Is there a way to turn them off, my screen Resolution is 1280X1040 so management of my HUD is critical.

    I had the same problem with my old laptop, sadly lower resolution screens will suffer because of all the space the HUD in Star Trek Online requires..

    can you screen go to 1920x080 at all?

    There's an option to change the UI scale, that might help.
