The Quantum Phase Beam Array is too loud

The discussion title pretty much covers it -- the Quantum Phase Beam Array is overly loud, and it's drowning out the audio of regular phaser weapons .
I've come to lower the audio with characters that use this weapon as it's not on par with anything else (I have toons that use everything but Poloron in space) , and by now I'm fighting the temptation to just mute space battles when this weapon is on .
It's kinda sad really that this single weapon ruins the show accuracy , not only by it's color but it's audio as well .
It would be much nicer if this looked and sounded like another phaser beam .
And if that's too much to ask -- can Cryptic at least lower the weapon's audio ... by 50% ?
