Competitive Impulse Engine Visuals Phasing Out?

The engine assembly's that appear on my Impulse Engines when I fit the Competitive Impulse Engines in my visuals slot have started to phase out lately. They only appear coherent at certain viewing angles and not for long?
Anybody else have this? A search of the bug forum produced no hits.

Now you don't: http://fav.me/dctelaw (you can kind of make out the shape if you look close like they are cloaked)
They appear to disappear when they are supposed to be in front of parts of the ship. The deflector effect also bleeds through the back/ top of the ship sometimes.
