I would love to see them do another design a ship contest, but this time expand it more than they did with the carrier contest they did last time. Give us options for what kind of pets it might have if it is a carrier, the kind of experimental weapon it might have if it is escort type, or another unique gear type ships classes can have. Allow us to vote on different boff layouts, and what not too. Just hope this time we get more parts we can swap for looks than the last one, as that was about the only disappointment the ship had for me from the contest, then to me they did quite well for the contest in that case.
Another thing that would be fun to see implemented, though it would not be something like added story content or ships. Would be turning the occasional optional mission objectives in story missions we have into things that had a more appealing aspect to do them. Such as making it that story missions has some rewards that are obtained via doing these optional mission objectives, which could range from a specific piece of gear to costume/vanity items.
Hmmm, I personally are not into vanity items, at all, but I still like the idea.
Specifically, for those that DO like vanity items.
I would rather think of certain materials, or certain gear, BOff/DOff,...
Something usable.

I am a sucker for usable things, vanity items have no meaning to me, as these have no use...

Well I mean I could see things like the disruptor console, or even the bat'leth that we get from just completing the Brushfire mission as great examples o gear that fits into being appealing to have as rewards for completing the optional objectives in a mission. There are also the pet-items that summon in pets for aid like the pilot escort device, or the pirate device, but personally minerals an mats that might be used in crafting would be better kept as things that can be found in the map like the nodes we have already that pop up.
Now plans tht might unlock the ability to craft a new item would be quite fun, though something like that I think would be an amazing unique reward that can be obtained from the different ques, as than you can have some plans tied to different groups of ques to make them appealing to do beyond the normal generic rewards.
