I'm planning on buying some RETRAINING TOKENS, for a pair of Starfleet ADMIRALS, that I invested a lot of time in. These characters reached "FLAG RANK" 'before' all of this 'crafting' stuff that's made STAR TREK ONLINE, such an absolute P.I.T.A., to re-experience. I just want to know, will the characters be stripped of their current rank, and access to the ships that I bought for them?
Totally clueless, looking for answers to serious questions.

Does this mean that you can 're-visit' previous missions, so that you can complete them without having your ships winding up TOTALLY OBLITERATED, by "programmer/developer controlled ships" equipped with 'EPIC'-level weapons and shields?
When I last ran STAR TREK ONLINE, all of this CRAFTING TRIBBLE, "wasn't a thing", as you youngsters say these days.
I also signed into the program in 2012, (or was it 2013, I'll have to check the "Captain's Log" to verify the actual start date). But as MY fuzzy memory recalls, the crafting wasn't so 'severe'. When I previously ran STAR TREK ONLINE, I knew that I "could give, as good as I got", when the ships I built, got into a fight. The way the program is currently working, every enemy engagement, is sadistically one-sided, in the 'developers' favor.
I've bought Tier 5, & Tier 6 Starships, and put them into use in the program, only to watch them constantly be 'destroyed' because the various items the ships were equipped with, were worse than non-existent.
Again, the only thing it does is reset you skill points so you can re-allocate them. It does nothing else at all, there is no effect on story line or rank progress, it also doesn’t reduce your level or rank. You would still be a level 65 Fleet Admiral you just wouldn’t have any skill points allocated until you re-spent your points.
The rest of the post about dev controlled ships is so laughably ridiculous that I won’t dignify it with a reply.
