Getting around the "go out and come back in again" problem.

Ready for "Quark's Lucky Seven." I accepted it while in DS9 Ops...but my toon can't go see Nog just yet. First I have to beam her to the ship, leave the system, and come back in again.

Surely someone could figure out a way for me to run a mission that begins where my character already is without having to leave and come back?

It's because the episode uses a Mission Map version of DS9, not the Social version.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Sorry, no way around it. I experienced something similar and it's no big deal to go out and come back in. Not to me anyway.
Now a LTS and loving it.

Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

Above comments notwithstanding, it would obviously be possible to add interacts that would transfer the player directly from the social map into the mission map. Not likely they'll actually do that, though.

No matter how silly it looks being told to go where you already are, and having to translate that as meaning to leave and come back.

I'm pretty sure Step Between the Stars does it at Dyson Joint Command as well.

Yes--it happens on a number of missions and it seems to me like they could designate a door to transition from the social map to the instance map. As far as @echatty suggests, well, it's one of those things where one doesn't just transport out to the ship--it's to the ship, to the sector...but even as a "it's the journey, not the destination" sort of person, I find it annoying. If all it took was a quick badge-slap to the ship--but it doesn't.
