Can we see "how old" a character is, and where's the "Captain's Yacht"?

kikskenkiksken Member Posts: 664 Arc User
Hail all:

So, here is my situation: I made me a new Jem'Hadar.
I have 10 Delta characters, this means I have the right for the upgrades on this character from the Delta Recruit Event (Fleet- and other marks, stuff in general).
Now, my JH has to be 65 in level, which he is.
He also needs to have been in game for 20 hours.
But where can I see just how long he has been online?

On a different note: Way back I had bought a shuttle type ship.small craft called the Captain's Yacht.
Now, I wanted to put this onto mt JH (he is Fed based) but I fail to find the bloody thing?
Was it removed, or am I just very blind?

Thank you.
Kiksken

I figured out the last answer: it should be at the Shuttle Vendor.
If only I can find the shuttle vendor on Earth Spacedock... :S

There is a command "/played" that you can enter in the chat line, which returns a system message with your played time on that character.

Jemmies can't use the fed/kdf vet shuttles (and destroyers). Supposedly it was planned that they get their own vet ships but we see how far that progressed.

Hmmm, I seem to be able to buy them on my Jem?
Well they pop up at least, not greyed out?
    Only that Cap Yacht...
Can't seem to find it, though it's a 400 day vet reward!

Romulans got the vet reward later than the LoR launch so folk are expecting the same thing for jem vet stuff.

Assuming of course its not another item on the pile of expansion things dropped because of discovery diverting resources.

Lol, you made me go look. The Fed T6 LTS ship is the Heavy Destroyer, found right between the Tactical pilot Escort and the Battlecruiser if you have "T6" selected. It is right there plain as day on my Fed toon. On my Fed aligned jem ? Nope, not there, nowhere to be found. The Captains Yacht, third from the left is you select small craft, all ranks on a Fed toon, nope, not there on my Jem. I didn't look for the T5 version but I doubt if it will be there either.

Although I was sure it would be the case, I checked my KDF toons also, exact same thing, although I did notice that I had never claimed my Dujhod Chariot (KDF equivalent of the Captains Yacht) on my KDF toon so I corrected that.

One day, maybe after they are done making new ships for DSC, we will hopefully get Jem LTS ships. In the meantime I ain't holding my breath.
    LTS and loving it.

I would be surprised if we see the JH vet stuff in 2018 to be honest...busy working on the 3rd Fed faction! Why ViL was so short...gotta work on dem Feds...don't want to risk anyone being interested in the red-headed stepchild factions!

If it helps a bit for the age of a character, the drop down list is in the order your created your characters: http://www.arcgames.com/en/my/character/copy/sto

No it isn't. I just looked at mine and they are not in the order that I created them.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

Interesting, mine is in the correct order.

I wish there was a way I could see the date the character was created, that would be nice. I already know my “main” was the first one I created and I can see how many game hours he has. It would be cool to know when I made him though.
    Insert witty signature line here.

Interesting. Mine are in the correct order. Wish I had have left things at 3 feds, 3 kdf, and 3 roms lol.

Edit: wasn't trying to parrot you Sea, didn't refresh my browser before posting  If you go into your captain's log you should be able to get an exact creation date for each toon.

Considering that we haven't heard anything about any Age of Discovery Pack, the '3rd Fed faction' seems extremely lacking compared to the others. Might have to come up with the term nanofaction to describe the Discovery Starfleet faction. All the previous packs we had at least a month of notice before they became available. Age of Discovery has even less content than Victory is Life. So if Cryptic is busy working on something to not give JH vet stuff, then it is not Age of Discovery.

I'm not bothered by Age of Discovery coming since it will be new stuff to do, despite my not caring for the misfire of a Trek series that the content is based upon. However, yes, I feel as if Victory is Life was unnecessarily truncated due to the encroachment of such a large block of "officially sanctioned" content bulldozing its way into STO far too quickly after ViL had appeared.

This is the result of misinformation. When CBS first announced that Discovery was coming in November of 2015 STO's EP stated that they had already contacted CBS to ipen talks for a tie in. As the devs have previously stated that they plan out content 2 years in advance they simply placed Discovery in that spot on the schedule, which is where we are now.

If that is the case, then certainly the appearance of a clash between Victory is Life and Age of Discovery falls on Cryptic. They've said the AoD will not preclude additional content related to other facets of the game and in fact we will return to other storylines in the game, so who knows; it may all work out in the wash.

Like I said, I'm not upset about Discovery content appearing in STO, but I do want to know who came to visit Sela in her prison cell to tell her about her mother. I do want to see where the DS9 gang goes after their victory over the Hu'rq and I do wish that Cryptic would stop limiting their recruitment events to the Federation (some love for the Klingons and/or Romulans would be nice). One can dream!
