Worried about all the issues I'm reading about; should I work on a new mission?

I haven't played STO or messed around in the Foundry since early this year. I came back to work on another mission and stumbled across all these threads from the past several months about the Foundry being a complete mess and everything. It's very hard to tell what's going on. Is the Foundry glitched beyond hope or did it just suffer a temporary hiccup and everything is okay now? In other words, is it worth the effort to work on a new mission?

    I think it's been overstated. I recently built a small mission and had no trouble at all. If you encounter anything specific, don't hesitate to ask to for help. We've got a lot of experience lurking around and we should be able to help.

    The issues are specific and not erratic. So you can plan around them rather easily.

    Work arounds to bugs you may notice during the challenge build I've also posted in the new PSA/Intro thread. There's one or two key points that we need Cryptic to fix but those shouldn't interfere with running the challenge and getting plays during the voting process (they're more long term considerations.)

    Also Minababe, having just played Falling Star I think it would be most excellent if you decided to partake. ;)

I feel so relieved now, because having not been here in awhile, I didn't know what to make of all the threads (if the Foundry had been abandoned or was just too broken to proceed). I was thinking, "Just my rotten luck!" Nice to know that it's not as bad as all that! :D

    Thank you. Are you talking about Victory is Life? If so, I'm very fuzzy on all things DS9. (I know. Bad Trekkie. :s ) But I would love to participate in a future challenge. This one mission I'm hoping to complete is going to be a two parter (I think), so I wouldn't be able to finish it in time, anyway. But thanks for the invitation.

    If you've played the STO missions involving Cardassians and Jem'Hadar, then you probably know enough to make a mission.

    The Foundry is usable. Not in top shape, but usable still if you're patient enough.
