It ended today at 10am PDT. Seems the landing page was of little help here.
is that it a measly body armour ?

the landing page should quote the time region it ends.
also they should get rid of the season 9 advert i keep seeing, thats WAY back then...

To be honest, I don't know what the bigger joke is... the season 9 advert or the landing page.
Your Journal details the time in your time-zone that it ends. Just check the banner on the left-hand side of your Journal. Cryptic HAS covered your suggestion already.
To claim your box you talk to Grym after you have picked up the 'mission'. Don't know where you got measly armour from though. The box given for FREE has a plethora of items you could choose in exchange for whichever voucher you get from it.
Despite certain people trying to hijack this into a discussion about the landing page, that isn't its job. It doesn't advertise weekend or week-long events. The Mission Journal does that in the sidebar on the left. That had the relevant information about start and end time.
That was merely sneaking in a quick comment amongst a relevant answer
You're right though, other than visiting the link I posted, the journal does contain the info as well as a calendar, and is completely in-game. People have to know to press J though, and how to cycle through the rest of it's functions.
Nobody really knows what the other page's job is
The landing page is for those that skipped, ignored or forgot what they taught you in the tutorial about the Journal (Jemmy's excused). Me, I don't think it's necessary. But again....check the Journal and click on the Banners or the Calendar for your 'more reliable' information.
