Future Proof missions still unskippable?

I posted a thread about the all of the Future Proof missions except for the first one being unskippable over a month ago, however now the skip button has completely vanished. The New Frontiers mission arc is also still locked behind the completion of the Future Proof arc making it required to do. I thought they wanted people to be able to skip missions they don't want to do if they had the required or highest level but this is making me think otherwise.
