A suggestion regarding the Maquis raider

I was just thinking that it might be kinda cool if we had the option of using a Yeager skin on the lobi Maquis raider.

I believe I've heard in some podcast that Cryptic didn't have plans to release the Yeager model, (because they didn't like the kitbash), but the ship is cannon and was seen in DS9, so the additional option would still keep in with the DS9 lockbox theme and may increase interest in the ship = more key sales.

I'm no fan myself of the model, but I know those who are.

Not sure how hard it would be to add the intrepid saucer to the model, but I'm guessing maybe not that hard.

It was just a thought anyway - hope it hasn't been mentioned elsewhere.

Except it wouldn't be in keeping with the Raider design seeing that the Intrepid is a 3/3 set-up, so having the fore-hull of the Intrepid suddenly gaining an extra 2 fore weapons might be an issue (it would be for me being a fan of the Yeager and Intrepid) and the Yeager would be larger and heavier as well. I know Cryptic isn't always on the ball in 'engineering sense', but this would take the mickey.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

If you're talking about weapons lay-out, the raider isn't a 3/3 set up - the raider is a 5/1 set up, since the Yeager is a class of ship, who's details are yet entirely unknown, never been clarified, I personally don't see a major issue -
We could just as easily classify the Yeager as heavy a raider or something, not the first time the game took liberties fitting cannon ships into the triad.

In so far as the "heavier' issue, tbh - we've never been 100% accurate in that department anyways with the other ships.

Anyway, my intent was not to start any argument - it was just a suggestion, I though it would make a good idea as all.

I never said the Raider was 3/3, I was pointing out the Intrepid was. You'll have people suddenly proclaiming the Intrepid should be a 5/3! The Intrepid also can't equip dual cannons, so you can't explain that away. The Yeager would have not had cannons equipped in it's loadout as it clearly has the Beam arrays.

The only way to get the Yeager in-game is as a customisation of the Intrepid line, not the Maquis Raider.
