I am a bit concerned about the number of players on console.

I did not in any way say that the population was the same, I said that the PC population at the time was 100 percent of the STO population, as it had to be since PC was the only platform on which STO existed. Thats a fact. The console population was 0 percent of STO's total population because console didn't exist, this is also a fact.

Now per STO's remarkably stable game population (quoting STO Executive Producer Riccossa), it has been astoundingly stable for years according to the people in charge. Once more, fact.

Reddit is widely considered to be an unreliable source of information worse than wikipedia, and has been directly called a cesspool by news writers, this is also a fact.

We are also not getting less content, in fact compared to before LoR we are getting a virtual deluge. In the time between F2P launch and LoR we endured nearly a year of no new content whatsoever. I have been here for 8 years now, I've seen the ups & downs, the good and bad. I play on both PC & XBOX, & I am still a paying monthly subscriber on PC. Any and all interactions I have had with STO customer service have been resolved to my satisfaction, including when my account was h.a.c.k.e.d, and again, all facts, no opinions.

Yikes lol. Let me try to make my main concern very clear. All I am trying to say is that the Xbox population is visibly smaller to myself (and apparently many others) and it is highly likely that this is because about 19 percent of the total population is on Xbox (as of several months ago). I personally find this to be slightly (and only slightly) concerning since I often find myself in battlezones and such that are mostly empty. Who knows, maybe the devs will come up with a solution to this.

I have absolutely no idea what your customer service experience has to do with the topic at hand. Moreover, I didn't mention anything about the amount of content we are getting in this post. You bringing up those off topic things comes across as incredibly defensive and it is quite bizarre to me lol.

What do you mean "Maybe the dev's will come up with a solution to this."!? This IS a free game that doesn't require cash for progress, where you can get to level 60 in 28 hours of game play, where you get 3 T6 Ships (on top of numerous levelling ships) a year for very little effort, that practically hands you high level gear, upgrades, EC, Dil etc, etc and also hosts a giveaway or two a year. I think they do enough!!
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

"where you get 3 T6 Ships," I can think of the Summer & Winter events. What's the other I cannot remember currently? Thanks.

Yeah. Every year Cryptic hosts three Events where you can play a small game to earn a free T6 ship. Summer Event going on now, Winter Event next which will have a new ship and Anniversary Event, likely tied to any new content which will come out next year.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

sometimes the zones are too damn populated. when i want to grind defere I like going back and forth between the first two groups for the peer pressure mission. I get one done go to the other they respawn in sort oder, rinse repeat. but when the server is busy there is some jackwad that starts one of the, and either leaves the deferi so I have to wait for the respawn, or they let the deferi turn.

I’d probably would play on Xbox but I’ve invested into my pc account loads of rl money it’s not something I want to repeat on Xbox. I know pc accounts are on different serves so transferring to Xbox is not possible. If it were I would jump to Xbox straight away

I have no idea how many players regularly play STO on console but I suspect the number is quite low. Recently, I decided to return to the game for a bit (on Xbox One) and almost everywhere I go, it is virtually dead. I have been to three Battlezones at various times during the day and the most players that where in a given battlezone is 5. Most of the time it was only me and one other player. Also, I'd say about 90 percent of the queues are dead too.

Is it like this on pc too? It's kind of hard, or at least not so fun to earn reputation marks when most of the places where they can be earned are dead. I know I sound very negative but I figure a forum is a good place to express concern.

Never played on the Console versions. PC version is more populated but the game has its origins as a PC original title to begin with. Guys have roots to this version. Still, there are some Battlezones that are dead while some are more played (Undine, Badlands for example).

KDF has always been light, Feds however are heavier on population.

The game has also had problems with a number of queues being dead, especially as new Reputations have arrived.
