But I love my dual rifle weilding max size Gorn Science Captain, be cause recoil is for Mammals.
I really don't think an overhaul is needed. I certainly wouldn't complain about maybe reducing the costs of building up KDF holdings. That is my biggest concern, how much quicker Feds can finish a holding as apposed to KDF. Balance the costs for the size of the player based and maybe tweak on the run, to keep things as more even playing field.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

as far as in game stuff, very little a couple stand alone ships, dahar master coats. really just a little something to show cryptic iuis actually interested in expanding the kdf player base.
as far as anything having a chance in hell of working they need to have an intern sit in all the meetings with a squirt bottle and everytime someone says something that would possibly insult the kdf fanbase squirt the offender.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
Qo'noS (First City, Shipyard, and Academy) needs a revamp.
The Fek'lhri arc could use an update as well.
Better/more Klingon style costumes and hair (head, facial) options.

Science ships. True blue (or red in this case) science ships. My biggest complaint with leveling a KDF is that your ship choices were raider (escort), escort, or cruiser. Please! for the love of Kales, build science ships.
Qonos needs to be redone. It looks awesome, but everything is 5 miles apart. The Fek'lri arc needs to be removed. It is a huge detriment to me rolling another KDF character because I will not play that one again, in it's current state. The ship interiors could use some light bulbs, in case you don't want the authentic dark look. How about a real equivalent to the T1 Connie? You know, a T1 ship in the Z-store with disruptor beams that level up with your character. (Maybe also give the Romulans one with a plasma beam, too.) KDF does have the best T4 in the game (IMO), the Vorcha. Please give us a T6 Vorcha. T6 science ships are a good idea, too.
I think a complete restructure of the KDF Social Zones are in order before anything else; FED players have the Academy, and Space Dock, and yet Imperialists (which are in the minority) have three zones? Id either move the Academy into the City, or into Ty'Go'Kor (I'm assuming that's where the shipyard element is).
The latter would probably be preferable, then it's not a direct copy of the FED setup; something slightly different. I would then see about adding in more female options; specifically Gorn and Nausicaan. I can't imagine the latter is too difficult when we've got female Saurian and Bolian already in the game, and I'm sure something can be done with the Gorn to distinguish them; different colours? Different skin/scale pattern? Different ridges? There's ample choices.
Unless I am also mistaken, there is still no T6 Vor'cha either, so KDF players are going to be needing that, in addition to the Klingon Warbird from the film reboots (that'll be the Battlecruiser seen in the Kobayashimaru scenario, and not the Bird of Prey seen on Qo'nos intercepting the crew and Khan).
Can't hurt to also have more clothing and hair options (and not just for the Klingon either); Orion, Gorn, Ferasan - they could all do with some unique outfits, lord knows FED players have more than an ample selection by comparison. I think this is all that I'd like to see as additions right now. As to what'll draw players into the KDF over the FED - honestly? Nothing. Unless/until Cryptic can make them different enough, there's no real reason to play a KDF over a FED, and the FED have more choices - in everything.
Non-Klingon main characters should have dialog options that are less Klingon. Cunning, clever, and snarky responses from others who are part of the empire but don't share the Klingon views of honor and glorious death in battle.
Qo'noS (First City, Shipyard, and Academy) needs a revamp.

Ditto, especially on the "more Klingon customization options." We can probably expect to see significant updates when more Discovery content hits the game (at the very least: it's more content to kitbash with) but there's still plenty of room for updates from the TNG->DS9 palette (ex. a screen accurate standard KDF uniform. What we have now: right idea and the proportions have been recently updated but its definitely from an earlier era of STO.)

1) Fek'lhri revamp, provided it remains Klingon lore heavy and doesn't get watered down as a cross faction thing.
a) If they do try to make it cross-faction, then the Feds should have Dax with them as a good cultural bridge. That and Quark, as a comic sidekick (if we really want to mess with the tone from the original). Like I said though, ideally they should be KDF only.
b) The Molor shrines in the final Disco episode would be good to tie in the arc really well somewhere - in fact it would be a good way to subtly feed in a few Disco things from ancient times.
2) Melee revamp to make Bat'leth and Mek'leth fights more immersive.
3) A *Great House* mechanic. I have no idea what this would look like, but it feels like the sort of thing we should have.
On the Qo'noS revamp people ask for, it is okay as it is and the kind of revamp that is likely would probably not be worth it. On the other hand, if they were to do a seriously big project in making it really immersive and impressive, that would be awesome. I'm thinking heavy with mood lighting and fires. Lots of hidden nooks with side missions that are heavy with Klingon lore or focus on some of the other KDF races. A Orion embassy quarter and Molor's hidden shrines. But given how long DS9 took, and how there are zones in far more need of a go over than Qo'noS, I doubt we'd see something so comprehensively worth it.
You know....part of the problem of revamping First City and Shipyard...etc... on the KDF side: They have tutorials, and low level missions and such running all throughout that both places....it is part of the missions.
The Prison on First City, the Bat'leth test by B'Elotja, Ch'gren works in the back of the Exchange, Franklin Drake makes his escape via Transporter in the Slums (have to interact with the Spectators,Tailor as well as Garrad), we have to interact with the Orion standing in the SpaceDock, several missions use Worf for interact point just outside the Great Hall, there is also a "tour" mission by going to the barracks and talking to various NPCs around the city...etc...etc...
It is not just a plain social zone, really.

We're talking Klingons here, science doesn't figure in the equation, only brute force. Also, as where2r1 said, Ganalda, it's got everything you need, well except a temporal officer, but otherwise once done with Qonos quests, there's no reason to ever go there.
-=Qo'nos=-
Needs better distribution of services. I've relocated most of my KDF to the Dyson Sphere because I wind up spending more time getting to each facility in the First City than I spend actually using them.
-=Ships=-
T6 Vor'cha
T6 Vo'quv
(It's embarassing that these 'staples' haven't been added yet. If ideas are too hard: Pilot Battlecruiser, with maneuvers, and Miracle Carrier.)
-=Patrols=-
Add daily mark bonuses to the Borg and Romulan ones.
Discovery implementation is the ONLY way you'll see it. Get ready to buy lots and lots and lots of lockbox keys, upgrade packs, or whatever RNG gambling device they link it to.
That or simply go with the exchange for what I want like I've done with every other lock box that's ever been shipped with STO.

Currently we have a red Federation. Change that to the feudal state the Empire is. NPC's on Qonos should be predominantly Klingons. Only some named alien NPC's here and there. Nausicaan mercs in the Bar, Gorn traders, Orion shady merchants. Something like that.
But not Orions and Gorn acting like Klingons and each making up 25% of the population.
New starter missions to explain the motives of our "minor" races. Say 5 missions each for Gorn, Nausicaans, Orions, Letheans and Klingons (including Aliens, Trill and Kitties).
I mean what do those races get out of staying loyal to the empire ? Say the empire settles some old border dispute in favour of the Gorn (retconning the Fed/Klingon border dispute ?) Or let a Klingon player char go hunting with the Gorn King fighting together a mighty beast.
Show us the Letheans play a key role in the Klingon secret service.
And give us leaders and a home for those races.
A Nausicaan asteroid base, including a black market and shady merchants. An Orion palace for queen Melani D'ian. And so on.
A bit character development for J'mpok would be nice, too. Imho he is a good chancellor, trying to stabilize the economy of the empire and adding some additional muscle to it through those new vassals.
Oh, and no mixed race crews anymore pls. Klingon crew on Klingon ships, Nausicaan crews for their ships and so on. Feudal empire, not red Federation !

I disagree eleventy billion percent on that last point. You may want only racially-segregated ships but not me.
There is nothing stopping you from making at least your boff set racially pure.
A less "stop liking what I don't like!" suggestion would be an *OPTION* to remove the "wrong" races from your ships' non-boff crew, so random NPCs won't offend you.
Well making more honorable removing murder and assassination doff missions. Ridding of Slave gathering/selling people doff missions. Females versions of Naussicaans, Letheans and Gorn. They really should have added females for Naussicaans and Letheans. I can understand it with the Jem Hadar but not with those races. An overhaul for some missions like the afterlife ones, you should go in there solo and fight with Kahless against Malor. Maybe going deeper and deeper into Gre'thor to fight Malor. Maybe make it more realistic klingon wise. With those things attacking the ship as it moves the sea of the dead. Maybe even visiting Sto'vokor at the end of that before returning to the present.

Don't you dare fix those pistols! They are the only pistols that look good carried by a gorn!

And get someone to fix the lighting in the shipyard.
Anything else is pretty much a pipedream as it would go against the feds & ships = money calculation.
That would depend on your definition of "update".
That's the best arc in the game and I would rather they leave it alone.

More costumes and hairstyles and loosen up the allowed choices for colors. Ideally remove all costume restrictions so boffs can use off-duty uniforms.
Put a bank and Exchange up in the Shipyard.

Between the Ganalda Station and KDF Starbase, you have everything right there, if your fleet unlocked it.
