TRIBBLE MAINTENANCE AND RELEASE NOTES - 5/22/18

Tribble has been updated to: ST.87.20180514a.8

New Features:

Create a Jem’Hadar Captain:
  • Create a Jem’Hadar Captain from the character select screen.

Gamma Quadrant Episodes:
General:
  • All account types now have access to play Victory is Life content on Tribble.
  • The ability to create Cardassian captains will now require purchasing this species once Victory is Life is on Holodeck.
  • The exterior of Deep Space Nine has had a huge overhaul.
  • The Jem’Hadar Attack Ship has had a huge overhaul to look as it appeared in Deep Space Nine.
  • The Jem’Hadar Dreadnought Carrier has had a huge overhaul to look as it appeared in Deep Space Nine.
    • This is a free upgrade to all players already in possession of this ship.
  • Gamma Quadrant Battlezone:
    • Resolved a number of issues which caused the final boss battle to not work.
    • Numerous updates have been made to the UI and map for this zone.
    • Alterations have been made to the queues within the battlezone to simplify them.

    Upon completion of the new Gamma Quadrant Arc, Jem’Hadar captains will gain access to their chosen faction’s episodes prior to the events of the Gamma Quadrant Arc.

    So that's how it works? Interesting.

    Server is not accessible for me yet, I patched with a lifetime account but it doesn't let me on with a non lifetime. Changes look good I hope I can see the rep set visuals now :P
    EDIT: Yes there are visuals, and super ugly IMO, pink + greenishthing, don't like it.

    The server should now be accessible to all. There was a small delay.

    Also, the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Species and their ships will not be available on Tribble.

    Fed-Roms still can't edit registry numbers on ally ships. At least they can actually see the T5/T6 ones in the shipyard contact now (and I've also confirmed that the T5 dil ships are claimable), so yay for that.

    The DS9 ship selector still offers no options other than your current ship and current shuttle.

    ETA: Also, I'm guessing that the LTS priority login doesn't apply to Tribble? I just got put in a login queue for the first time since 2011.

    ETA2: Forgot to mention that the new DS9 exterior is effing gorgeous.

    I'd like to test some stuff with friends but the challenge functionality does not seem to work at all right now, all I get is [12:26] [System] [PvPGeneral] Queue parameters are invalid for "Challenge Match".

    No matter who I send that to.

    As there wont be any option to create them until they are live on Holodeck; I have the Gamma Pack so technically have purchased the species and now just waiting on the release on live which is when they will appear for me to create on Tribble, though naturally this will be a little late for any future changes to be made.

    I hope the Cardassian are not complete, as the spoon issue for female characters is not yet resolved, unfortunately.

    Why can't we make them on Tribble now? I was wanting to be able to make one once I could access Tribble.

    Serious suggestion: The new rep shield visuals, the pink is cool, it's unique, it just kinda gets ruined by that brown color, I'd just like you try a more blackish there, pink & black, for the sake of space barbie. That'd be amazing :P

    PLZ Change Reputation on JH Sci to Temporal and Lukari/Dyson.And in Spec. Points to Temporal(Main) and Strategist/Intel or Command.

    This not a Sci Set UP its a Tac Based Set UP.

    The C-Store doesn't work on Tribble, so anything that requires an unlock from there to get will also not work on Tribble. That includes the Cardies, Jem' Vanguard, all of the Vanguard pack ships, etc. Once it's live, you can create a toon on Holodeck and copy it to Tribble with all of those things in inventory, but they won't ever be available directly like on Holodeck.

    Another new patch has gone up. I'm still patching so I haven't tried it yet, but folks on Reddit are saying that it features two more episodes, a revamped DS9 Ops, and a fix for Jem'Hadar not being able to go to Drozana. Weird that there are no patch notes for it (at least not as I write this).

    ETA: Was just able to verify all these things for myself. :) New Ops is gorgeous. Also, Jem transporter effects now work properly, and Fed-Jems can now beam up from the Academy. Jems now have a tailor background, too! :) This is coming together!

    ETA2: DS9 ship selector works now too!! :D

    Got patched up, but my keyboard controls are beyond fouled up. Will restart my computer and try again, just in case. I'm not a fan of running around in circles or being unable to stop, or have the same button doing absolutely random things.

    Update: So far, it seems a full system restart did the trick on this. I wondered as it messed up Holodeck on me, too. Will advise if it happens again.

    No.

    Nice tied up loose string in Armistice and a fantastic Episode in The Search with some great interplay with the DS9 cast!
    Seems alot tidier now.
    Gamma Battlezone timer is gone.
    Final Invasion Stage of Gamma Battlezone correctly activates.
    DS9 OPs is updated (after The Search I think).
    Fed JH's can now freely fly around and interact in Beta Quadrant.
    JH Initial Arc now displays in Episode Journal.

    Several years ago Cryptic made the default setting for voice chat off. And for good reason.

    Now it occurs they have reversed that decision since I am having to go in and set it to off myself every time I get a large patch on Tribble.

    the new OPs looks great. However ... the animated turbolifts present a problem. If you enter one at the wrong time your character gets stuck in the top position and you have to beam out to get free.

    Uhh...

    They didn't touch ops with this expansion at all. This has been confirmed several times. So there is no 'new ops' and whoever is saying that on reddit has no idea what they are talking about
