Endeavor Failed

So, I had a mission to kill 20 Tholians. Killed 20 Tholians. The mission we were in was not successful, but still killed 20 Tholians. Did I mention that I killed 20 Tholians? Cause I did. And then I received "Endeavor Mission Failed".

Me no understand.

Thats Cryptic, you can not understand them, thats like a AFK penalty that you get when 4 overpowerd players in a red alert shoothing everything down in a second and nothing leave for you.

Yeah, but this is different. This is one of those unique missions that you do across your account (but has to be accomplished on one character). It has nothing to do with the mission. You just have to kill 20 Tholians, and when you have killed them, you get the prize pack.

I get this any time I swap characters after I complete an endeavor. It's like it's checking mission status and the possible statuses are only in-progress, succeed, or fail. Thus if you already finished it, it goes to "fail" status because the current character can't even start on it.

Okay, that makes sense. Except the original character didn't get the reward, so not sure if that worked correctly.

The endeavor was to kill 20 Tholian Ships. Did you kill ships or the Tholians on Nukara ?

Killed them during a red alert. The number bar filled up as I killed each and every one of them. At 20, the whole display disappeared because I had killed 20. Then mission ended and it said that the endeavor had failed. Still had 19 hours left to achieve it before it disappeared from the screen.

The endeavor failed? Or the Red Alert failed? Because it's possible to have achieved the endeavor, but failed the Red Alert.

What happened if you changed characters?

The endeavor disappeared when it was completed. What happened in the mission doesn't affect it in any way. If the reward isn't in your inventory, check the overflow bag.

Endeavors can't fail except by time-out or having already been completed by another toon.

Also, failing a TRA...

Were 4 people to destroy everything before you fired a single shot, then you didn't participate - which is essentially being AFK. Hence the AFK penalty.

The solution of course is to kill harder. If the enemies are melting like hot wax you don't need to worry about them killing YOU.

Were 4 people to destroy everything before you fired a single shot, then you didn't participate - which is essentially being AFK. Hence the AFK penalty.

It's not "essentially" anything. There's nothing to participate in.

Back on topic

Make sure to check and see if the endeavour box ended up in the overflow. That's the usual reason for it going awol.

Other time they don't appear at the bottom is when a cannibal tribble has eaten something and created a hole in your inventory that the reward then goes and lurks in.

I got a large chunk of my quota from doing a CCA. I probably just tagged them with FaW and Torp Spread while DPSing the snowflake to death.

Last time I did this particular one on console I was doing the azure rescue and had to try with multiple characters because the spawns kept bugging out and eventually went for the mindless FAW tagging option in crystal catasstrophe.

I get that happen quite often with the rep boxes, some will arrive right away while others refuse to turn up until much later.
