The above spreadsheet is the first part in a little series I'm working on about various ways to make EC in STO.

You'll need to make a copy of the spreadsheet and update the tan cells to the latest exchange values on materials and upgrades.
  • With Vil and Mk XV coming next month, upgrades will be in high demand, as such, is a great time to take advantage of the situation and get yourself some EC.
  • This method is not the best ever, but it's one achievable by most players. And it has enough potential to allow people to grind up a large chunk of EC.
  • You can use this to see what upgrades will net the most profit off of your investment, or see which will net you the most EC in a certain amount of time.
  • Superior Experimental Upgrades are worth more EC, but are generally not worth your time due to higher cost to produce, and significantly lower demand.

    Very much so. Most don't have enough dil on hand to buy enough Phoenix upgrades to last them until the next Phoenix event, meaning they still end up buying upgrades.

    As for the Romulan upgrades, while nice, getting a large quantity of them isn't the quickest thing ever.

    When crafting upgrades for profit check the market for blue R&D components, see if any are cheaper than they'd cost you to make, this can also save time sat there churning out lattices etc.
