I'M about to finish up the rep for this. Has anyone used this space set and is it any good ? The deflector dish sounds interesting.

    Back in the day I used the deflector together with the Nukara 2pc and sometimes the CC core for the set bonus. It's decent but the general powercreep blessed us with better specialized stuff stuff.

    It's not bad, I used it for quite a while and it was a well balanced set.

    It's not going to perform at the top, as dave said.. it's been kind of left behind as far as power goes.. but it's still not bad. The individual pieces are good, but the set powers are very.. meh.

    I still use it, it works well enough. it is both older/weaker and more generalized. however it's not without it's charms, one of which being you have multiple way if dealing with destructible torpedos. and as old and "weak" as it is there is little to no chance of it getting nerfed to promote this weeks new hotness. probably best used on a heavier escort or lighter battlecruiser. though my bird of prey uses it with no problems
