I hate when some mission ask to be an ingeneering >:(

Sorry everyone, I was frustrated because there is some mission asks me to be an engineer but I do not like to change myself, because I am a tactician and not an engineer, I tried hard to open the damn door that asks the engineers to open the door and release the victim who is stuck because the mission asks me to go there and I really hate being stuck!

I am on DS9 whose mission is to get out of there while the dominion attack DS9.

If i'm correct, you're talking about the "Second Wave" mission of the Dominion storyarc. The part where you are asked to open the door and free the prisoners is only an optional objective for engineers. You cannot complete it if you're tactical or science, but you don't need to fulfill it to complete the mission.

also, there tend to be other, different, optional objectives for tac and sci characters.

yeah thanks for help i just found where do i do, Tactical= Weapon et kill all enemies until VIP something. Science = treat the victim and ingineer = technology. I don't knew about this quest, just because of the green circle, that make me stuck lol They need to fix instant to display the green circle on the gate where the victime was traped. the green circle will display on weapon if I'm tactical character. the green circle will display on the injured victim. That why I want they will fix it.

yeah, i agree that they should look at fixing that, if i'm understanding you correctly and you're saying that the minimap quest marker was pointing you only to the engineering optional objective while you're not an engineer.

Ideally the game would hide the ones that aren't for your class.

It is however something cryptic have been steering away from in the episodes, preferring a more generic approach even across factions.
