Hot-swapping consoles is not in and of itself impractical. However to be able to do that within a timeframe that makes this "exploit" practical is so hard to accomplish is what makes it impractical as not even battlecloaks provide a relible "on demand" way of removing oneself from combat.
Only relible way to remove yourself from combat I know of are to die or to kill all targets within combat ranges.
I’ve been accused of doing this twice since getting the walker console. Thing is, I’ve never even tried it. I don’t think people know what they’re talking about.
When talking about exploits you must consider how much impact it actually have, something that is so impractical to actually use that there's no real impact. This isn't a game breaking exploit and honest there's worse problem to solve.
It takes two mouse clicks to implement, hardly impractical. I'm pretty sure its not a hard fix anyways. And yes reducing cd on a console more than half just by clicking 2 buttons isn't "working as intended"
That's ignoring the posts above about needing to escape combat in real world PVP against a competent opponent. An incompetent opponent is toast with or without the existence of this exploit.
Have you experienced losses in PVP against someone using this, or is it just a theoretical fear?
I've seen it done quite a bit in Kerrat so yes its use in PVP.

Just because someone is better than you at PVP doesn't mean they're using a (possibly imaginary) exploit you heard about in chat.
