I was excited by the CES announcement a couple weeks ago that Razer was partnering with Philips to have ambient light effects controlled through their software. I also recall that STO was supposed to support Razer keyboards/mice (none of which I have).
I finally installed their software and it seems to connect to my Hue lights and animates them while I’m running Windows. However as soon as I launch STO all the lights go black. Once I quit the defaul animations work again.
Does STO actually send color info to the Razer devices? And if so, does it mean that the Phillips Hue integration requires specific coding from Cryptic to work? I’d have thought the Philips would have defaulted to whatever the devices did.
Now a top-rated spotlight mission!
