The game doesn't treat RRF as a full faction. you have to choose a side to "ally" with for each character, instead of being considered a full fledged member of a Romulan fleet.
There shouldn't be KDF or Fedroms as people call them. there should be Romulans.

It's about the issue that romulans can't team up with romulans which is bs to the highest degree. Technically roms share their homeworld with the "enemy faction" which is roms. Brilliant, isn't it?

No, there won't, and this is from the programmers. Cryptic wanted to add cross-faction teaming but the engine can't support it without significant recoding.
