It winds me up no end people stopping intentionally at round 5....SMH.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

I haven't encountered them yet. Just completed one where at least four out of five were willing to make something out of it. We (PUG) got to round 52, when the annoyingly immune Na'kuhl defeated us.
This time around, I've played it twice so far: Once, on my main, geared for the Colony Invasion. Joined a PUG, we made it to Round 20. I'm not too sure, but I think most of the team was playing on because nobody wanted to say "Ok, we got our tokens, let's quit" and were all too polite to spoil it for everyone else. There was just no urgency, and no "Oh Darn!"s at the end. Second run was on my newest toon, straight out of QWW. Yeah, I was almost that guy who showed up with a snow gun. Anyways, this was a prearranged Sompek Suicide (ss) run, but we almost got killed off a round early! Just some really bad timing...
Speaking of using a snow gun in Sompek, what if snowmen were added to the potential foes a team might face? Could be interesting, having to plan on bringing snowballs along...

Yes, so far all 4 runs have been spammed in chat with "5 and die plz"
Made it to 32.
Thing is, I respawned and they still said we were all dead
I think it doesn't count if you're in the cage.
So far I did it once in a pug and got to wave 18. Which was Vaadwaur who kept wrecking us with cheese. Like sniper shots that do over 400 damage. I have no idea how much per hit the sweeping strikes used by their overseers does, it was over too fast to follow it. Yeesh.
First time I've ever played it, same for two of the others in the Pug, got to fifty-something. Had no idea what was going on, what the weird lights meant, why I seemed to slide uncontrollably at times or where the 'one-shotting' was coming from.
Very glad when it was finally over. Wish I'd known that you're supposed to quit at 5 rounds.
Think I must have built a couple of hundred turrets!

So that's what kept killing me. That b*stard sniper and his one shot kill. Next time, I'm killing him first
Tholians killed my last run, that Tholian captain enough said
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

The Rising of the Delta is the best expansion ever, and people love it to death because it is a good day to die in the endless struggle for supremacy of your own conviction. (A spin off of the Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and all the players love it.)

Yeah I got to wave 52 yesterday. Everyone was dead and I was in the cage, having just respawned before the mission was ended. So you need to be out of the cage indeed.
Vaadwaur can be nasty indeed. Same for Na'kuhl, it's pretty annoying when their distortions are... somewhere and some immune captain or commander is firing shots at you that can kill you (almost) instantly.
The Vaadwaur supervisors are fun opponents for melee specialists though

Same happened right when timer hit zero my timer expired on lvl60...Game had to think a second if it wanted to give it to us...it didn't lol.
When you hit 50+ there is nowhere safe...even constructs don't last long lol...there is lightning, beams, fire, gas, everything everywhere... I think round 55 we were running from the map instead of fighting...very few enemies to kill there lol.

Yeah things get tough after 50 - especially if there are people on the team who don't want to go a far as possible lol.
During the higher rounds, passive regeneration and resistance become more important. Usually I can do fine with my fleet armour (high CritD rating) on my Sci because I have heals - but with the more powerful enemies at higher round, such responses aren't going to be enough. That's why I keep the Romulan Navy armour at hand, it can help to get a few rounds further.
Also, it helps if there is a weak enemy that doesn't deal much damage like a Borg drone. To reduce cooldown timers and such, or in case anyone needs a small break, it's easy to let such an enemy walk for a while and delay the next round a bit.

The RIN armor is pretty much standard issue for all my characters. Well... except for my recent Reman character who still needs to go through a few story arcs to get to the Iconian War story arc.
Just saw a new way to lose horribly. Tzenkethi Gravity drones.... apparently they can yank you all the way across the arena now. which disables you for an annoyingly long time and leaves you vulnerable to getting smooshed.
The Colony ground weapons do pretty well in Sompek.
Running a Colony Plasma Full Auto Rifle on my KDF main and not needing to worry about healing or shields when it procs. Still need to worry about spike damage or getting one-shotted at times, though.

It was a PUG, I was on my melee toon and melee'ing Vaadwaur supervisors could've been fun if it weren't for the lightning

Haven't seen snow weapons yet fortunately

To be honest, I am not looking to break my 79 round record. Doing so simply requires too much time.

Those Breen Captains have powerful weapons. They're usually my first target to use Sabotage on.

I heard last time that weapons that give +temp HP are more useful here than most places. What's a good option for that?
