Does the Romulan Engines: Weapon Amplification Work?

Can anyone confirm if the "+ Starship Weapon Amplification" on the "Romulan Advanced Prototype Impulse Engines" works as intended, as equipping the engines (in orbit) doesn't seem to increase the "Critical Severity" in the status window. Thanks.

That increases the weapon critical chance, not global critical chance, so it doesn't show on that screen. It is functioning correctly AFAIK, though you'd have to run a damage log and parser to confirm.
