Diplomacy/Maruading Commendation Level IV and Enemy BOFFs

So, only having reached Diplomacy IV with one toon, and that before the Romulans were added, I'm wondering if Feddies and Klinks can pick up a Romulan BOFF when they hit Tier IV. Has anyone had any experience with that?

Thanks!

IIRC it's a Faction specific Boff.

Well, yes, but it says 'Enemy BOFF.' Does that mean Feddies only get Klinks and vice-versa?

Not sure of the entire selection, but on KDFs I claimed the Humans, on Feds/Romulans/fed-aligned the Orions, on KDF-aligned Romulans I don't remember and would have to check. Pretty sure feds mainly get the Nausicans for the pirate trait.

Romulans are not part of the enemy faction boff rewards. Romulans can be picked up from the Romulan embassy fleet holding if your fleet has a high enough level embassy.

Meh. I'm not into traits. Always up for the RP back stories. ;^)

Besides, Rommies are my favourite, and I'd love to have one on my Feddie team.

Do note if you buy a romulan boff from the embassy using a non-romulan character, those boffs won't be able to wear the Republic uniforms, since those are unlocked character-bound by the romulan story missions.

::nods:: I figured as much. They probably aren't able to wear Federation or Klingon uniforms either, right?

Nope. They can wear only romulan civilian clothes, the C-Store historical romulan uniforms or crossfaction stuff.

I took a look at the offered BOs for both factions... yawn. Klingons can pick up a human Eng BO for the space trait... I guess a Fed can pick up a Nausican Eng for the Pirate trait as well...

I was looking for ward to an Orion Sci but she does not have Sup Creative so I passed on getting any. They had also become bound on acquire so I couldnt auction them off.

    for Fed & KDF.
Tac BO - Blue Rom with SRO from Rom Embassy Rep.
Sci BO - Sontaran with Pirate and Efficiant from mission reward.

No real reason why a Rom would want any of these BOs.

Rather get the K-9 BOs instead or a Kremin BO.

    Sontaran? K-9? I think that's the wrong universe. ;^)

Anywho, thanks for everyone who answered the original question. I'm pleased enough with my Rommie BOFF (though I wish she had a Starfleet Uniform!).

By 'Sontaran', I would assume they meant the Overlooker race from Star Trek: Voyager that look very much like the Sontarans.

There is no K-9 in STO that I know of, so they likely meant Deep Space K-13.

Hopefully some day, the devs will hire a script kiddie to engage in the arduous task of programming republic uniforms for all fleet romulan boffs, Federation-romulan uniforms for FED aligned boffs as well as Klingon-Romulan uniforms for KDF aligned boffs.

The Hierarchy boff looks especially sontaran if you were lucky enough to get him when he was still customizable, so you can dress him in battle armor.

Yes K-7... the fleet holdings with the Purple 23rd Cent BOs.

You can pick up a potato head sci BO from a mission reward in Delta Quad... they look just like Sontarans. Might as well be. Too bad, they use to be able to be customized... they nerf'd that too.

The fleet holding is Fleet Station K-13, based on Deep Space K-13. Deep Space K-7 is a standard social hub.
