Reasons for reactions

Greetings and Salutations to PWE customer service.

I do acknowledge that I may possibly have been over the top in my reaction to the poor performance of the other players in the Gateway to Grethor Advanced que., I would like to point out the reason for my possible over reaction. In the majority of other MMORPG and similarly styled games, there is often a required minimum gear score to participate in certain aspects of any particular gaming environment.

This is in place to ensure that players who have put in the time, effort, and often actual $money$ are not having their time wasted and are not receiving less than optimal rewards for their effort. This also ensures that players do not leave the game due to the ability of poorly geared and/or new players causing disruption in certain aspects of any particular game environment.

Also in the majority of MMORPG and similarly styled games, there are more stringent level requirements for entering and participating in certain aspects of any particular gaming environment. That being said, a player who meets the bare minimum level requirement may not also meet the gear requirement. Again, this is in place to ensure that experienced players receive maximum reward for having put more time, effort and often $money$ into any particular game.

I do think that integrating a gear score, and a restructure of the level requirement, and also raising the level cap (which is so far behind literally every other game on the market) would go a long way towards ensuring positive player interaction and would reduce player loss substantially.

I did read the terms of service and did find that I may have been a bit strong in my reaction. I would like to point out that when someone engages in any activity, loss of time, effort, and rewards due to an imbalanced system will often cause strong negative reactions. I have offered in this post, a starting point for a solution that would ensure that players of matching gear and level would be more accurately grouped, and be more effective in raising the both the attractiveness and the quality of Star Trek Online.

Thank you for your time and consideration, Sincerely
@GeneralKertag.

Having a thing is not so pleasing as wanting a thing, it is not logical, but it is often true.

    Reading between the lines:

    You joined a PUG, abused other players in chat for not being "good enough" for you, and got a vacation?

    If so, take this as a lesson that the problem here was you not them. It's possible to point out how others could improve their builds or game play without stooping to verbal abuse. Apparently you acted like a child in-game, and are only now acting like an adult. Learn to be an adult in-game too.

    At the very least, this seems to be a continuation of a private conversation with customer support that has no place on the forum.
