Outdated Vouchers

Last year, in the buy back store, they had upgrades and such for the previous year's vouchers. I have some of the Q glossies on on character and THOSE still have the option but why not the vouchers for the 2016 vouchers?

More so, once we get the vouchers this year, what will we do with them next year? Is there anything we can use these old vouchers for? Can we get something on a more permanent basis for these things? I get that things have been simplified so we only need one character to grind and everyone gets the prize but what about the people who were grinding on all characters?


What would my fellow Captains and Admirals like to see added for these to be exchanged for? I know next year, there will be plenty of left over 2017 vouchers. It would be nice to get them back in the buyback tab for upgrades. Maybe add a GPL price of less than 5-1 to upgrade them to the current year's vouchers? Something for those putting in the extra work would be nice, as i know i'm not the only one who has been hoarding these things.



Personally, i would want the return of those good dil-free upgrades, but what would you guys like to see available in exchange for invalid vouchers?

You are not meant to acquire any left over vouchers. That was the entire point of the "different voucher every year" -plan.

Just discard them, they will never be used for anything.

Usually each year they have an option to trade vouchers for special emotes or other items if you no longer need them. There's usually an option in the event store or NPC somewhere but I haven't looked this year.

Like i said, they had the upgrades and such last year. Having the Glossy photos, the options are still there but for the 2016 vouchers get nothing, yet we can still earn them. Why bother allowing people to earn them if they do you any good?


If we have the option to earn and stockpile items like this, it would be nice to be able to get something out of doing so. While i prefer the upgrades, it would be nice to exchange them for packs of ornaments or some such. Something for them is better than nothing, and it makes more sense to reward people for playing than just telling them to do a minimal amount and disregarding the game after that.


Just like the Kramp'Ihri, it was a fun mission but the rewards were just not enough to make me want to do it anymore than the once. If they added more rewards for this kind of thing, people would be more willing to do the tedious every day grinding. Considering how people will be stockpiling vouchers every year, it would be nice to use the previous years vouchers, since you earned them.

They introduced time limited vouchers to stop people stocking up for the next year's ship. You get a few weeks after the event now to use/dispose of the vouchers. After that they are useless.

The previous year we were transitioning to the new system, which is why you may still be seeing it.

And Newsflash....EVERY game is grinding and doing repeated actions.

(personally, the last few winter/summer events, I get 1k vouchers on my main to unlock the ship, and then just grab a few races on several other alts to exchange via the "40-for-40 rep marks" daily event project. Only has to be a few, since it takes 25 days to unlock that project. There's no reason to spend more time getting extras, unless you happen to enjoy the racing or floater daily.)

This was done last year because we were transitioning over to the 'can't carry over vouchers' system. We aren't transitioning any more.

Those 2016 vouchers are worth nothing. They were never meant to be saved for a trade in a year later. All WIA.

Well that's the point, isn't it? We SHOULD have something to put them to. They can keep the system as is to keep the people from getting enough for the next event but it would be nice if they made outdated vouchers still worth SOMETHING rather than nothing. What's wrong with having an optional extra? Wouldn't it be better than having people log in for a single race then logging off again?

that would be great. but sadly i think that was 2 years ago and and was one time deal because now we get new ones every year.
