should i give up?

I have been patiently waiting for a T6 vorcha class ship for my klingon for a while now.

I love the Vorcha its one of my favorite ships but i also like the look of the new Klothos class.

So how does it handle and cryptic can you at least tell us if a T6 vorcha is planned?

    The Klothos handles nothing like the Vor'cha/Tor'Kaht. If you want something close I'd pick up the Kurak Battlecruiser.

    It'll probably come out with some sort of gimmick seating arrangement at some point most likely in a bundle like the miracle worker pack or escort pack. When that happens however is anybodies guess. Might be a good time to move on and look at other things if you are feeling that way about the current game state not offering what you want.

    seeing as some devs want one, it's bound to appear at some point, wild guess look for it next summer or fall depending on how they are planning for the next spec.

    if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

    Best thing to do is not have any expectation of the vor'cha class attack cruiser, that way you don't torture yourself wondering if it will ever come and when it does come, you can be pleasantly surprised with all that waiting around.

    Started playing when the game first went f2p and been waiting for them to add a decent/heavy bop to the c store since(I think they did eventually add a t5 fleet ship). Still waiting.

    Used the chel for ages as all they ever added were cruisers.

    the sooner you give up and buy something else... the more likely that T6 will be announced.

    Honestly.. yes, I think you should give up on it.

    At this point, it seems Cryptic has some stupid opposition to making a T6 Vorcha for..whatever reason.

    Now that the anticipation has swelled all this time, if they ever do decide to make it, they will certainly put it in a lock box to try and ring every last dollar out of it.

    You'll save yourself time, frustration, and possibly money if you just forget about it and find your 'next best' option.

    It would be awesome if Cryptic released the T6 Vor'cha in the C-Store. I would absolutely buy it on my primary account the day it is released even if it is not discounted.

    I would also buy it on my secondary STO account; but not with real money since that is strictly free to play. It would be awesome if I actually exchange Dil for Zen I put up for sale from my primary account. Anyway, this ship would be the catalyst to get me to finally retire the free T5 Vor'Cha Retrofit my KDF character has been commanding for the past 2 years and also prompt me to get C-Store T6 ships for my other two characters who are still flying the free T5 ship selected when they were level 40. It would not be fair to them if they were not treated to a T6 C-Store ship as well.

    Have you tried the Mat'Ha, or T6 B'Rel?

    It's more likely that they have a list of ships they want to make and the Vorcha is simply not at the top. BTW, they DID make that one science ship that looks almost like a Vorcha. Naj'sov I think?

    You have a point they did put the t6 scimitars and voyagers and defiants and stuff in lockboxes.

    There are a bunch of ships where the t5 version was c-store and the t6 version is lockbox.

    There is no T5 C-Store Vor'cha, just as there wasn't a T5 C-Store D7.

    Remind me what that thing was paired with? oh right... Gal-X and Kara. Gal-X and Kara have a lot of similarities with each other. Slow, tough, separation gimmick.... none of which describes the Kolasi.

    the work was likely done quite a while before, and cryptic does lavish the extra effort if it's not an actual Klingon ship, particularly if it's a home-grown design.
    Right... so in your world, why did they create the Kolasi?

    I can't tell you if anything will actually be coming out ever, but one of the devs did an informal poll on Twitter on which ship we'd like to see, and I think the Vor'cha won out the popular votes.

    You might want to keep your hopes low, but there still IS hope!

    As the original flagships, the C-Store T5 Odyssey/Bortasqu were pretty much flops, I would say that there is still a glimmer of hope in seeing a T6 Vor’cha. The T6 flagships were much better than their T5 predecessors and have been much more popular. The Fleet Tor’khat (Vor’cha) is still popular even today even without a T5 C-store version. It is only a matter of time... Cryptic will eventually give in and make a T6 version.

    Having said that, though, how that T6 will be delivered (C-store, lockbox, R&D Promotion, etc.) is still up in the air. Even if it is not marketed on its own, it will be lumped into a bundle with a Fed and Rom ship so the bean counters can maximize their profits.

    You just have to have faith “that the universe will unfold, as it should”.

    Still waiting for a Tier 6 Kar'Fi Battle Carrier and Hegh'ta Heavy Bird-of-Prey as well. I'm sure these ships and a T6 Vorcha are just around the corner, with their top men working on it as we speak.

    Should keep in mind that not every single player of this game voted in that voting pole for certain ships to get the T6 treatment, only a small portion of the entire player base would've voted in it.

    To be fair, at this point it's either new stuff(like the Ferasan Escort) or... those.

    Personally, I find the Kor to be as much T6 BoP as I need though so I'm not as keen on getting a Hegta as a Karfi or Vorcha.

    Iver the years playig STO, I've learned not to get so pessimistic with what new content may become available in the future.

    Years ago, I used to be part of the "ragefaces" who would regularly be saying things like "STO would never release [insert content here] into the game" But on quite a few occasions I was surprised when they actually delivered on players (including my own) wishes. If you were around years ago, you should remember just how many players were protesting that there was no pure carrier for the Feds, only the Escort carrier. Then Cryptic released a pure-breed carrier. In fact, they even let the players decide on picking the design, which was a nice touch. You might also remember just how many players complained that there was no High Tier (5/6) Miranda Class model. I protested this also. I grew up with the 80's movies as a child, so to have the chance to fly about like Khan was a boyhood dream, and now they have a T6 Reliant class which I can use a Miranda skin. So one of my alts, Is very Khan-orientated, and yes I do have the dramatic battle music playing in my head every time I use him, and a happy, if slightly maniacal smile on my face ;)

    I also remember years ago when rumours of LoR were circulating, and many players on the forum were yet again saying "There is NO WAY that STO would release a new faction" and Cryptic once again delivered. All be it a semi/sub faction when it comes to alliances, but lets be honest, the Rommies/Remans have a full storyline, their own Flotilla, homeworld, ground/space items, costumes and a decent selection of ships which is still expanding. So yeah, Cryptic have pleasantly surprised many players there as well, and many of the Forum flamers sank back into their chairs ready to sulkily munch on another slice of humble pie.

    So the upshot is, never give up hope , cos you never know what new surprises await us all :)

    They put the T6 version of the most common onscreen Klingon ship (D7/K'Tinga), seen in multiple films and TV series, spanning decades, in an Ultra-Mega-Gamblebox, thus assuring 99% of players would never be able to obtain one.

    Something to keep in mind when wondering when/if/how they will add canon Klingon ships in the future.

    I could imagine a Galaxy, Vor'cha, D'deridex promotional release with the new miracle worker specs could be a huge success for the holyday season.

    After this Sona dread whose name I already forgot we would probably have a lot of peeps going for those, including me. :#
