"Hello everyone, I've recently noticed a bug with the Shield Overload trait. It is supposed to provide a massive resistance rating to all damage and reduce damage to shields on use of EPTS, then gradually diminish over its 30s duration, every 5s.
Right now if I bring up the ship's info on resists, they sit at 28%.
On use of EPTS, Shield Overload kicks in and they ramp up to 71%. When 5 seconds have passed, Shield Overload gets its first over-time effect cut, but the ratings fall down back to 28% (although Shield Overload still counts as active, the effect is non existent). Another 5 seconds pass, the resists ramp up again to 71% as if the trait had restarted (yet it continued counting down in the buff bar). Yet another 5 seconds, resits go down back to 28%, to go back up to full SO strength 5s later, and so on until Shield Overload wears off.
To sum up, Shield Overload has 6 intervals of effect, determined by its "every 5s effect decrease". 30s to 25s (1st) 25 to 20 (2nd) 20 to 15 (3rd) 15 to 10 (4th) 10 to 5 (5th) 5 to 0 (6th)
In the odd cycles Shield Overload applies its maximum buff, while on the even ones it does not. Hopefully this issue gets fixed.
