Foundry frozen "waiting for editing server..."

I started up STO for the first time in over a year and waited for all the game updates. I went into the foundry to pick up where I left off on my project. But the foundry is just hanging with a message:

"Loading the Foundry
Waiting for editing server
to start up and patching the
Foundry updates"

How long does this usually take? I suspect it crashed but I don't know for certain. There seems to be no indication that anything is actually happening. Also the top right corner of the Foundry screen says Beta v0.8.

The foundry editor is currently down, that's why.

Yep, i know, annoying as hell, especially when you are in the middle of a foundry saga and wants to work on it <.<
