Lighting 2.0 always off on old maps

Since its instant on/off with L2.0 would it not be possible to have it default off regardless of the setting being on for old maps? I recently revisited my KDF mess hall again to see that everything still looks awful with L2.0 on there; so why not just have it always off on maps like these till someone was able to revisit the map to bring it up to date?

Nobody really needs L2.0 here outside a before/after reference. And considering the amount of time passed since L2.0 came this is apparently so far in the backlog to get fixed that it should be feasible to implement something to have it always off on these rather neglected maps regardless of having it actually switched on or off.

    The entire graphical overhaul is a joke.

    Sure it looks great on the new maps. But the amount of old maps that look complete TRIBBLE broken is... Quite long.

    Even the daily maps from Deferi space etc. Broken.

    Random deep space encounters, broken.

    The list goes on and on.

    That is essentially the reason for that suggestion.

    I made a rather long explanation why it would be good for STO to do so but dared to edit it for spelling & grammar which got it deleted. These forums are the worst :(
