It wasn't that your fun was wrong, it was because

1. They let DPS run unchecked.
2. A few players couldn't cope with DR's harder NPC's
3. A few players felt 'entitled'.

The ship stats, loadouts and arcs need a complete overhaul to reflect more too 'canon' rules than the magical abilities and OP we still enjoy.
