With the new Galaxy bridge coming very soon, I, like many other players, plan to purchase it as soon as it becomes available. Except, there's one problem:
I have no idea if I'll even be able to use the thing.
I own many ships with unique bridges, and they end up being nothing more than a single room and some consoles. Compared to the upcoming Galaxy, these are little more than a joke. I'd willingly spend money on picking up the Galaxy bridge if it meant I could use it, but otherwise it seems there is little point to it, when it's going to be impossible for me to use 90% of the time.
So, I want to ask the community if they would prefer to let all ships (Minus obvious exceptions such as shuttles) be able to change their interior as they can change paint schemes and item visuals, or if they would like the unique ships to be uncustomizable in favour of accuracy to the regular ship.
Should ships with unique bridges be able to change their bridges like any normal ship? 33 votes
Yes, I think all ships should have access to the default bridges.
No, I think unique ships should not be allowed to use normal bridges whatsoever.

Probably won't happen, but it would be nice.
I'm not sure about the Galaxy interior since in some rooms you can see outside at the actual Galaxy class ship exterior. It wouldn't work then.
All the old (unique or otherwise) interiors unlocked by a player can be put behind a holodeck entrance accessible on the new generic interiors, and become foundry maps.
And knowing is half the battle!

Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

If they're going to keep telling the excuse that these expensive ships are not worth the effort to get a full interior because they make them so rare that almost no one has access to them (see the irony here and why I think it's a pretty lame excuse?) then they should at least make standard interiors available for those ships.
Not that I expect it to happen. Just look at some of the latest more exclusive ships. They've gotten less and less customisation options so I don't expect them to suddenly turn this around and start offering these options.

100% this.
I LOVE the Odyssey bridge, and I'd love to be able to use it in some of my ships but I can't.
I think once you've acquired a unique bridge or interior, you should be able to use it on any ship you own.
I just don't see what the problem is in adding more customization options for starship interiors. If people want to "downgrade" to a default interior instead of a cramped functionless room, I say let them.
And as I've already mentioned, I'd have no problem buying the Galaxy interior if it meant I could actually use it, but otherwise I feel the restriction might end up gimping sales.
If it was possible to have a permanent collection of bridges, I'd totally buy an Odyssey to put its bridge on my Vengeance. Or a Suliban Cell Ship for, you know, the Suliban Flight-Deck ship that should have it already.
