Why is it they even bother to list event end times if they are just going to take up the last 2-3 hours of that stated time with downtime?

    The real question is: Why does the the launcher not stay up to date with the marquees for the events or specials and why does the in-game popup not show them or other special events in a timely manner?

    Now you know that events and sales often end when maintenance begins. AND KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE!

    They don't in-game pop-up anything here, the most that they do to draw your attention is light up the ? button on the minimap frame to tell you about a new half-season, season or expansion once it's launched. The launcher scroll is usually pretty current, but they should be better about removing expired sales and events from it. It isn't advertising the current Lobi store sale right now, but there is a link to the news article about it, and there probably will be a scroll ad for it before the end of the day. Everything in it is now expired, in fact, and should be replaced with a Lobi store sale ad, a teaser for the new FE, a teaser for the Tzenkethi Red Alert, maybe a generic teaser for Season 14 and an ad for the current lockbox.
    This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    The Sompek Event did indeed run until until 1 PM EDT, about 90 minutes after the Restart ended. So what is the fuss, this time it ran until it was scheduled to run.

    In that case the fuss must be that they didn't specifically tell people it would still be up after the maintenance...or so the complainers have claimed. Never satisfied, some people.

    What do you mean about the Launcher not being kept up-to-date. There is a 20% Services Sale going on right now that doesn't end until September 4th. ;)

    As of now: Lobi sale, Levar Burton (teaser for the FE), Tzenkethi Red Alert, Son'a lockbox and YouTube channel. 4/5 before the end of the night. I must be puh-sy-chick.
