XBOX: PVE Rewards Vanish When You Exit the Map Prior to Award Box Popping Up

This has happened twice to me, once on Infected Space and Again on Core Assault. After the mission completes, if you "leave map" in the few seconds before the "Choose Reward" box pops up the reward vanishes and cannot be found when you return to the normal map.
