Reputation sets vs Fleet & Holding sets

Do fleet and holding sets still compete well? I assume they are getting dated now but appreciate new information. Reputation sets seem pretty hit or miss too. I was disappointed that the K13 items seem to be reduced in effectiveness so quickly but maybe that is a side effect of boosting NPCs to hitpoint sponges.

While this is true, I suspect the intended question would have been better phrased "do fleet ITEMS still compete well with Rep sets?"

To which I would say: I'm sure they compete just fine, if you like their features. I have used a few fleet items from earlier on after they were added, but personally wasn't a big fan because I like set bonuses. So I just use reputation sets. But if you like the specific procs and such that the fleet items give you then use them to your heart's content. Most important thing is to do what is fun for you!

Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.
