Some fleets have policies about it, some are cool with it. My previous fleet only allowed you one character in the main fleet and your alts all had to be in one of the secondary fleets. My current fleet has no problem putting all my characters in the same fleet.
Is it possible? That depends on if you have permissions for fleet invitations. I've soloed a fleet that has all my kdf alts in it. But as seaofsorrows has pointed out doing so may violate the policies of the fleet.
So:
- Check your rank and fleet settings to see if you have invite privileges
- Ask a fleet leader what the policy is: 1 character, 2, (as many as you want), and if you don't have invite privileges ask for that too (or just the invite)
- If it's OK, invite captain@you then change characters, done!
Vitually all of my Feds are in the same fleet and the same for my KDF or aligned characters in another. I may have one random fleet that I'm still a part of, but I prefer all of my eggs in the same basket.

It really depends on the individual fleet.
