Hey guys. I know back in the day I used to be able to get Foundry missions at least to a playable state, but with the newer updates I cannot. I try to follow the suggestions in the editor as best as I can but whenever I try to test the mission and go to the console (or wherever I've set as the start of the mission) and accept the mission instead of transporting me away to start the mission my character just transports, the load screen appears, and then I'm back on ESD (or wherever I started).
What am I doing wrong? I just want to make some simple "simulator" missions where I get to fight a few Klingon ships. Thanks.

For whatever reason the map transitions do work after the mission is published, so if you want to test your final product just publish it and run through it, then if necessary withdraw it for further editing.
Trouble in Trimble: An illicit Reman colony is under attack by Orion pirates. Will you defend the colony or arrest its only defender?
Paying the Price: You must protect an uncontacted pre-warp civilization from Orion slavers, without violating the Prime Directive.
The Mirror of Infinity: To save your ship, you must convince the descendants of the crew of the long-lost USS Infinity to work with their mortal enemies - their Mirror Universe counterparts. Part of the USS Infinity Foundry Roundtable Challenge.
The Tholian Tempest: A rescue mission on a Y-class world leaves the away team stranded inside a Shakespeare play while under attack by Tholians and Gorn.
The Trafalgar Paradox: A mission to locate a missing Starfleet vessel leads the away team into a mind-bending temporal paradox.
- Post have been made in the official bug reporting forum and the Foundry Roundtable podcast has been talking about this problem for some time. That's as far as we can take any particular Foundry bug, so just move on to working around it. If a fix is ever going to come it'll come, if not oh well (that's game development, not all problems can work their way to a dev's desk.)
- You might want to review what we mean by "test maps individually." That's not a fix, that's what you have to do to play through a mission in the editor. Transitions simply do not work, back out and test each map individually to work your way through the whole project.
Published missions are fine, so this is only hampers mission testing towards the end of a project when story flow and pacing are the focus and most of the individual map construction is done. ie. it's not the end of the world, though it might require more careful thought on how parts of a mission will come together later (working out story flow through iteration has become more difficult.)Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence
Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
