KDF Font and VO

Right so one thing I've been wondering for a couple years now, way back in the day when New Romulus was new and exciting, friendships lived and died by who could guard the Kang, and fleets were just becoming relevant, the KDF faction used to have a smaller, sharper font than the Fed side. Also, alerts like "Warning! Ship is under attack!" and "Target's shield has failed!" used to have a different voice, one that was deeper and sounded more at home shouting "FOR THE EMPEROR!" than a Klingon.

I've always wondered why they were taken out. Personally, I liked the smaller font; if there was a way, I'd use it now, on all my characters. And the evil Klingon sounded more fitting than Majel Barrett (sp?) voice acting for KDF ships. I mean I'm not crying about mah imershuns, but, again, it went along with the Klingons and all they stood for, plus every ship in the galaxy can't have the same voice as the TNG-era computer (which is who I was getting at, in case I'm completely wrong altogether about the voice actress). And I know the KDF faction never gets anything that isn't trickled down from the Fed faction, and I understand why that is and why that will always be and that's just an inherent part of STO. But these were features, for lack of a better term, that were there and suddenly weren't.

Anyone know what happened?

Just a guess: They probably added more messages or changed the wording, and could no longer use the original KDF voice actor since they are now a union shop for voice acting. Instead of hiring a new, separate actor they just copied the fed.

Lame...I mean really, how hard can it be to get a guy to read the lines, but whatever. Still doesn't explain the font removal though.

Hell, give me a list of the computer's lines and I'll do the translation myself!
