Console-Universal-Cloaking Device.

I am looking for a cloaking console. Does anyone know if any vendors sell this console? The ship I have is capable of accepting this console but I have been unable to find one other than purchasing a ship with one already installed.
Also, is it possible to find one on the exchange?
Thanks for any info offered.

Thanks for the imput. What exact ship would I need and is the battle cloak an option or is it purchased seperatly?

Assuming you're playing a Federation character, the cloaking device console can be acquired by purchasing either the Tactical Escort Retrofit (basically, the tier 5 Defiant) or the tier 5 Dreadnought cruiser.

The battle cloak is only an option on a C-store Defiant because it's the 3-piece set bonus for the series:
Phaser Quadcannon from the tier 4 Tactical Escort Refit (AKA, Sao Paulo class)
    Cloaking Device
Quantum Warhead Module from the tier 6 Tactical Escort (AKA, Valiant class)

That last console can only be equipped a tier 5 or higher Tactical Escort variant, meaning other ships that can equip the cloaking device aren't allowed to get a battlecloak. In addition, you're basically locked into a phaser cannon (mostly likely dual heavy cannon) build if you want that battle cloak unless you want to just give up a forward weapon slot for a weapon you can't really use.

Honestly, cloaks in this game aren't all that terribly useful. They have a habit of dropping whenever an NPC hails you or when you interact with anything, even picking up loot.

Two ships come with the Cloaking Device console - The T5 Tactical Escort Retrofit and the T5 Dreadnought Cruiser(Galaxy-X).
There are several intel ships that come with built-in cloaking capability.

For further clarity, there are only two federation shiplines with access to "battlecloak" (both require a complete console set).
    Tactical Escorts(Stealth Fighter Set)
Assault Cruisers(Starfleet Assault Cruiser Technology Set)

Bear in mind that the latter one requires a very special ship variant that comes exclusively with a physical toy model of the ship(for the tabletop game, Attack Wing).

Yes. I have a Fleet dreadnought cruiser (T6). It sounds like that acquiring this console is a waste. Thanks to all for your input. I appreciate it. Any advice that could be offered on how to make my vessel more effective in combat?

Shoot the things; make the thing-shooters do more damage.

If you want more specific advice, you'll have to offer more details and the desired direction you want to take your ship/goals you want to achieve. We can't suggest directions if we don't know your current location and desired destination.

My weapons and shields (both ground and space). Once chosen, I know they can be improved through tech upgrades. Are there any other "secrets" to making major improvements to equipment in general.

This is the most current math on stobuilds for how damage and resistance work together. This is a break-down for which consoles affect which parts of the damage-boosting part of the formula.
