Seeking artifacts to lock away in a warehouse

paxfederaticapaxfederatica Member Posts: 1,496 Arc User
My next Foundry mission will feature a raid on a secret Imperial Romulan cargo storage facility, and in addition to the objects the player is searching for, I'd like to add some artifacts and MacGuffins featured in other Foundry missions. (Think a Romulan version of the Starfleet cargo hold in "Vorgon Conclusions" or the warehouse in the final scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark.)

If you have a device or artifact you'd like the Romulans to take off your hands and keep in their storage bay, please post it here. Everything's being kept in crates so no need to tell me what asset(s) you used for them in your missions. (Note that neither the facility nor the artifacts themselves will be damaged in the mission.)

Of these, the Conclave android and the Architect would probably work best.

I should add that each artifact would be kept inside a crate, which the player scans and the science officer describes the contents as they appear on their tricorder. I've seen Conclave androids so those would be easy enough to describe, but how would the Architect's body appear from a scan of its crate?

    Object: Omnitabula

    Description:
This ancient spherical object is believed to contain all the knowledge of a dead civilization. It is unclear how or why this was made. All attempts to access its contents have failed. To be shelved until new interface methods are developed.

    Author's note:
I think I said somewhere that there's three of these objects (redundancy ftw), but only one was featured in my mission series of the same name.

Also the Omnitabula is just Omni- ("all" or "every") and tabula ("tablet" essentially) put together. Not sure what this would be in Rihan.

Its Rihan name isn't really important - the scan dialogue would go something like "Commander, my scans show a perfectly spherical object of some kind within this container. Unfortunately, they can neither penetrate the object nor identify the material from which it's made."

Do you want a Mirror Romulan ship black box?

A black box recovered by the Alliance while investigating the attack on the Kinjun System (A Mirror Tale) Given to the Romulan Republic to further their own enquiries into the 'Mirror Universe.'

    The Heart of the Planet.

In my upcoming mission in my Star Trek Continues series; it is basically a super powerful battery used to protect a planet from solar flares, (Think Zero-Point module from Stargate).
Located in a 10,000 year old temple (Preservers), the device was hunted for by Cardassians, but restored by a Captain Parks, (Pike Era).

HOWEVER; When starfleet returned, they found that the device was disturbed and the planet was reduced to a barren wasteland. The device could have been salvaged by the Tal'Shiar to power a super weapon or something? :open_mouth:
    STAR TREK CONTINUES

Episode Ten - Beyond The Farthest Star Episode Eleven - It's OK, It Won't Hurt Episode Twelve - A Protracted Officer

but how would the Architect's body appear from a scan of its crate?
A cybernetic humanoid held in stasis. Only the face shows signs of organic components. Scans don't penetrate deeper 2mm of the outer integument. Burn patterns indicate this individual sustained a phaser shot to the head. It is likely the cause of death.

Given that this is relevant to a newly published mission it may not be the best choice for an easily interpreted reference. The body of a Prometheus replicate (on second thought) would connect with more people.

The "black box" and the Heart of the Planet could both work. So would the replicate.

Sadly none of my published missions have anything like this, there's a bunch of relics in the 22nd century mission I'm working on that will mentioned to have been stolen by the RSE but I have no ETA on when the mission will be published.

Since I didn't do a proper description on twitter..
This grenade appears to be capable of causing an explosion that travels backwards through time.
My idea was a device that you use in the present to destroy something in the past.
