I've been finding the many elements of the UI overly intrusive.
So I started to consider how they could be removed to give a more authentic cinematic feel to playing the game.
I'm not sure if this would work for an mmo, but in theory, splitting the game data across two devices on the same home network should be possible.
It does work in Fallout 4, which has the PipBoy app that allows your iPad to control a large part of the game UI.
The solution I came up with is to move most of the UI to an iPad app so it isn't on the game screen:
